Silver Wedding Anniversary Celebration Victory Hall Roche 03/07/2010

Well another weekend upon us and the function on this Saturday evening was for a Silver Wedding Anniversary Celebration and was booked as a Disco only show. The booking came from the internet and we were looking forward to this one as we have never worked at the Victory Hall in Roche before. Again the pictures on this page are pictures of the show we set up for this event as you have a choice on my booking forms which allows you to choose if we can take photos or video for our web page and on this occasion they did not want us to do this so obviously R.J.Rhythm as always respects it's customers wishes.

With me on this occasion was Rob from my village We set off from our offices at abut 5.45pm but as it is country roads from my place to Roche and we were stuck behind a tractor we arrived about 6.20pm only having to do 5 miles. When we got there the organizers were waiting to let me in then they left to get ready themselves whilst Rob carried the equipment from the van into the hall for me then myself and Rob set up the show and as it was quite a large hall we set up one of our medium to large shows for this occasion and even though it had a very large stage we decried to set up on the floor area in front of the stage as we knew this evening was only going to be quite a small crowd and it made scene as the hall was so big to keep everything and everyone close by for a good party atmosphere. It took us about an hour to set everything up and then we tested everything and made sure all was looking good before we made a start.

We started the disco at 7.30pm and started off with playing some background music whilst the guests arrived then come 8.30pm the buffet was opened and we carried on playing music throughout the buffet. As tonight's event was a Silver Wedding Anniversary Celebration and there were about 40 guest we played music from the 1960's and 1970's which went down a storm and everyone was having a great evening with various people dancing and singing in their seats all night long. Throughout the whole night we had various people dancing and singing from beginning to end which made this night another night to remember for both us and all the guests.

We finished at 11pm and had a tremendous round of applause which obviously made me happy as it was quite a hard night for me as a D. J. with only 40 guests to keep them happy all night long. Rob and myself packed away the show and left it just in front of the edge of the stage then Rob carried the equipment to the van and helped me to load up. which was a great help. It took us about an hour to pack away and get loaded up then we made our way back home after and long and successful evening arriving home about 12.30am.

I also had little John and Darren out on another gig for me on this occasion and they were at The Rising Sun in Truro, where we had been booked to do a Karaoke Birthday Party and an open event in the bar area. I have no Journal for this as obviously I was not there but reports were the night was a really good night. They had done mostly Karaoke Requests as it was so busy, So I must take this opportunity to thank both my guys for doing such a great job.

Well Next week we got 2 Karaoke shows on Wednesday, My usual Mano Tang's in Falmouth and Marjon University Collage in Plymouth and then I have the weekend off before our Summer Run Starts around the Holiday Parks etc.
