Valley Holiday Park, Polzeath Karaoke Evening 4th Week 18/08/2010

Well this evening is my 4th week of my Summer Holiday Run at The Valley Holiday Park in Polzeath and we are back to our Wednesday night run and the annual holiday club that come down every year were still there so it was another great night as I got to know most of them last Saturday. Again as I have said previously this would have been our 3rd year at The Valley Holiday Park in Polzeath, but it is actually our 2nd because even though we were booked to do the summer run last year we did not make it due to a massive fire that had taken out the club house along with all the offices just before the beginning of last season.The local council has allowed the park to operate its entertainment this year from a marquee, but their are restrictions on time and noise levels obviously. Because of this we decided along with the owner that we would do 2 sessions of Karaoke. The first session was 5.00pm till 7.00pm which was a children's Karaoke and then 7.30pm till 10.00pm as a family Karaoke as all entertainment has to be stopped by 10.00pm. Due to child protection issues we obviously did not take any pictures for uploading of the children's Karaoke event.

With me on this occasion was Rob from our village and we set off from our offices at 3.30pm this week and we arrived at the holiday park for 4.15pm and Rob carried all the equipment in for me whilst I set up the show and this only took us about half hour again to set everything up as we put one of our small to medium shows in for this event, Well from 5.00pm this week we got off to a great start as the kids who were interested in how everything worked on Saturday were waiting for us and all had a go on the karaoke as they now felt at home with us after Saturday night. Again we were playing requests from the kids which was mostly modern day music in between the Karaoke sessions. We did not bother to stop again this week but played right through into the Family Karaoke session as we were having such a great time and lots of fun. I must say I had a great evening with the kids and I can't wait to do it again next Wednesday which will be our last one of this years summer run and no doubt their will be a completely different crowd.

Well again as I said we did not really finish the children's Karaoke but played on straight into the Family Karaoke Party. I Started off this next session by playing them holiday summertime party records As you can see by the pictures above we had quite a few Adult singers on this evening along with all the children as well. We done mostly Karaoke as the place was packed and it was a great family atmosphere all night long. We even had a couple of under 5's singing on the mikes without music as they were doing nursery rhymes and this made a great family evening throughout the whole night.

Well I finished dead on 10.00pm and had a great round of applause yet again from the same crowd and more from last Saturday night, which again made me really happy as it showed we had a successfully evening once again as we always do. Rob then helped pack up the equipment and took it to the van and loaded up. It took us only 20 minuets to pack away this week as we are now getting use to it being our 4th week at this wonderful venue.

We made my way home and got back to my offices for about 11.00pm. Looking forward to next week and I must say a big thanks to Little John again for covering me at Mango Tango's this week.
