The Tamar, Crown Hill, Plymouth. New Years Eve 2009

This is our 7th New Years Eve for R.J.Rhythm Entertainments at the Tamar in Crown Hill Plymouth and I knew it was going to be another night to remember as Christmas Eve was our best ever. We had the Cornwall R.J.Rhythm Crew and the Plymouth R.J.Rhythm Crew all in one place for a massive show and party yet again. The cornwall crew were myself, Annette, Andy from Bodmin and the Plymouth Crew was our other Andy who was one of our drivers. The very best of this night was also my best school friend from Birmingham who I met up with on a school reunion earlier on this year through facebook was also with me and we had arranged as always on New Years Eve at The Tamar to stay over for the night.

We set off from our offices at about 4.00 pm and we were all looking forward to this night as we know from experience what The Tamar is like on such a special evening. Before we got to the Tamar we all went to Kentucky as we don't have one near us in Cornwall so we took the opportunity whilst we were in Plymouth. We arrived at The Tamar at about 6.00pm.This time it was not up to us to move the tables and chairs after trying to get people off them of course and set up the area for our show, but I got the staff to do it as we had a lot of things to do and also get ready as it was also a fancy dress. It took us about an hour and a half to get totally set up for the evening and again the lads worked so hard in setting up and making sure everything was ready for me to start at 8.30.and once again as you can see from the pictures they all had a great time throughout the evening. We had people dancing all night long from 8.30pm and some of the people in fancy dress looked spectacular as ever. Midnight came and the whole pub was up dancing and cheering and the atmosphere was quite electrifying and exciting. You can also see some video of this evening by clicking on our Video page.

We finished around ten past one and as I said before all evening we had the dance floor packed and requests were being taken all night long. We packed away within a hour which was not bad going as we were all really feeling the strain of our Christmas runs. Andy from Plymouth went off into town with a few of his mates and the rest of us had a bit of a party afterwards. We all eventually got to bed about 5.30 am and believe it or not we were back up and on the road by 10.30am. Well a New Year and a New Decade has now started and this will now be our 8th year at The Tamar, so until my next Journal I would just like to say Happy New Year to all my readers.
