The Tamar Crown Hill Plymouth on Easter Saturday 03/04/2010
We were last at The Tamar as you may have read in our Journals on New Years Eve and now be are back again for our 2010 run at this magnificent pub. R.J.Rhythm are now in its 7th year at The Tamar but I must admit it doesn't seem that long ago when we did our first gig there back in 1993. It is a bit of a shame as we used to do this venue about once a month but due to the credit crunch we are now only there on Bank Holiday Weekends at the moment un till things pick up a bit, but I personally can not see us coming out of this recession, if we ever do for a very long time. But at least we are still doing this venue and it is still rocking when we appear for our special theme nights. We set of from our office in Bodmin at 4pm as I needed to do some shopping in Plymouth and we eventually arrived at the venue at 7pm after our last call at the KFC yet again as you know we don't only have 2 KFC's in Cornwall so when ever we get the chance whilst we are on the road we find the KFC's lol. There was Andy with me on this occasion and Andy carried all the gear in for me then helped me to set up which took us about an hour and the show we put into The Tamar was one of our medium shows as you can see from the pictures above. We started the show off at 8.00pm and played background music for about half an hour until I started at 8.30. We had quite a large crowd in The Tamar on this evening and the requests were coming in fast. I played a bit of everything to be honest from the 1960's right up to present date and the whole of the pub were either dancing or tapping there feet and singing whilst they were sat down. As you can see from the pictures everyone was having a great time and so was Andy and Myself. We finished at Midnight and got packed up and ready to go within an hour then made our way home, I eventually arrived home about 2.30am after dropping Andy off in St. Austell. We are back at The Tamar in 3 Weeks for May Day Bank holiday and we are both looking forward to another great night at this venue. Well Monday night it's back to The Cat and Fiddle in Bodmin for a Bank Holiday Special Karaoke which I know will be a good evening.
