The adventure of building a Snowman by Luke
After spending about an hour and a half gathering snow for the body ball and for the second ball up for his body we decided to take the balls back to the garden. One thing that wasn't planned was how we were going to get the balls back up there as there is a slight hill outside the house. After about 10 minutes of finally being able to get the balls out of the school we were then stuck on getting up the pathway (which is like a mini hill..), the main bottom ball was as almost as heavy as a tractor tyre and it wasn't getting any lighter even though we were losing snow from it on the way back o the house. It took us about 20 minutes getting the ball into the front garden, Freddie was able to lift the second ball and carry it from the school to the garden (someone was showing off) and then when we finally got them together, we realized just how bad this thing actually looked. One thing was true though and that was that we had wasted about 2 and a half hours of our good time building something that in no way (shape or form) looked like a snowman. Anyway after we added some extra snow to make it look a bit better we added the head, two twigs from a tree for arms, stones for the eyes. a flower pot for a hat, a scarf and built a nose from nose which in all honesty didn't look quite like a nose but a lot like something else in the man department.. After a few pictures were taken, we just went inside and let the snowman die a slow and painful death, as we woke up in the morning, we had discovered that his head had fallen off, poor little guy.. Anyway, you can look at the pictures to see how much fun we really had, even though at the end of the night and the fact that I was suffering from a very bad back from pushing the thing and being very cold because the snow didn't want to stop falling, we still had quite a bit of fun.
what luke didn't tell you was he must have slipped onto his bum about 4 times in the evening and the best of it was when we picked him up from his home in Bodmin he came out the door with his bags etc as he stays with us during the week and slipped straight down onto his bum and I must admit that was a sight lol. My staff are completely mad as you can see because they started building this snowman around 9pm and I took the pictures at 1am, obviously I was the sensible one and stayed indoors.
