La Scala Bodmin Jail Civil Partnership Celebration 17/04/2010

Well this month seems really funny as we have never in our 12 years of living in Bodmin worked at Bodmin Jail before and we are actually working there within 2 weeks of each other. The function room is called La Scala and the evening was for a Civil Partnership and again this was a first for us also. The evening was booked for our female DJ's along with myself, which worked out great as we were also working in The Garland Ox in Bodmin on this night also. We had the whole crew out in the town of Bodmin and it was great as I was able to travel from venue to venue to do some D.Jing myself on this evening also.

We set of from our office in Bodmin at 4.30pm as we had 2 shows to set up. With me was Little John, Stella and Annette. We got to our first venue which was Bodmin Jail and John Carried the equipment and helped me set up for the first show whilst I showed stella how to use the laptop etc. Stella had Annette with her also so the girls were going to help each other out on this evening. It took us about an hour to set up this show then afterwards we all went to The Garland Ox to set up our Karaoke show which Little John was D.Jing for me in between me going to and from venues. We eventually got all shows set up and ready to go by 6.45. I then took the girls back to La Scala at Bodmin Jail and got them ready to start. We put some background music on whilst the guests started to arrive.

The Show started off around 7.30pm and I announced that the girls were going to entertain the crowd for the evening and started off the show with a couple of first dances. I then left the girls to do the rest of the evening and went to The Garland Ox to see how john was getting on and do some D.Jing myself. I popped back to the girls about 10pm and the whole dance floor was alive with people dancing and having a real good time as you can see from the pictures. The girls were playing all sorts of party dance music and lots of requests from the 1960's right up to the present date and they had people dancing all night long and also created an electrifying atmosphere throughout the whole evening. I had a quick chat with the girls and the people we were working for and they had nothing but praise for the 2 girls which I was so pleased about so I left them again and went back to my other function. When we had finished at the Garland Ox where you can read about this function by clicking here, John and myself came back to this function around about midnight and the girls were just slowing things down. This show finished about 12.30am and John helped me to pack away and break down the show, then he carried everything down for me as I loaded up the van with the help of the girls. We eventually got packed away around 1.15am and then made our way home.

Next Saturday I have a private function at The Carlyon Bay Golf Club which is a wedding reception and again this is going to be the first time for R.J.Rhythm Entertainments to be working at this new venue and I am very much looking forward to this evening.
