Golden Wedding Anniversary University College Marjon Plymouth 04/09/2009
With me on this booking was Scott and John. We arrived at the venue about 6pm, Scott and John carried in the equipment and helped me to set. We were booked from 8.00 till midnight. The evening as I already said was booked as a Disco Evening to celebrate the Golden Wedding Anniversary of Pat and Dave. We started off the music with a little background music so people could have a chat etc as they were arriving. We played some very old time swing songs for this as our crowd were mostly a mature crowd as you may have already guessed due to what we were celebrating. We started the party off properly about 9.30 after everyone had arrived and had their buffet, which by the way was a really nice buffet. I can say this as we were asked to help ourselves to the buffet along with the party guests. I started with a first dance which had been requested by Pat and Dave and then we wished Dave a happy Birthday as it was also his 73rd Birthday and I must admit he looked a lot younger than 73. From the first dance we had people dancing all night long and our music selection ranged from the 1940's right up o the present date. Everyone was having a great night and I must have given out 20 business cards throughout the evening, which obviously tells me that again R.J. Rhythm as we advertise can cater for any occasion old or young. We do have some video footage of this function and to view this you need to click onto our Video Page and it is best to find certain videos by following the instructions on the first line right under the video player. Well we eventually finished at midnight and I was quite sad myself to be finishing as we had what I would say another one of our best nights on this evening. It took us about 25 minutes to pack away and get everything into the van. We eventually got home at 1.30am and were completely shattered again after yet another successful evening with myself and the R.J.Rhythm Entertainments crew.
