University College Marjon Plymouth 15/07/2009

This event was the second time that R.J.Rhythm and the crew worked at The Marjon University College also known as The College of St Mark and St.John in Plymouth. With the success of last weeks event they asked us back for yet another Summer School. The Evening was to finish off a Summer School that they run for 17 year old students this week who are thinking of attending the College after the summer holidays, which as I said last week is a great idea myself as we did not get opportunities like this when we were growing up.

With me on this booking was Freddie and Andy this time. We arrived at the venue about 6pm, Freddie and Andy carried in the equipment and helped me to set. We were booked from 8.00 till 11pm and this evening was booked again as a Karaoke and Disco Evening to celebrate the end of Summer School and the theme this week was a Beach Party. Everyone looked great as they were all dressed up in beach and Hawaii ware even the Tutors were dressed up and the atmosphere throughout the night was magnificent just as good as last week.

Well as I said we started the party off about 8pm and from record 1 we had people dancing.and within 10 minutes or so we had the first person up doing Karaoke. We had lots of Karaoke requests throughout the evening and I must say we has some brilliant singers too. Students and Tutors sang throughout the evening as we had a great party atmosphere all night long.We did not take any pictures and video of this event to go on to the internet for child protection issues.

Well we eventually finished at 11pm and I was quite sad myself to be finishing as we had what I would say another one of our best nights of Karaoke on this evening. It took us about 45 minutes to pack away and get everything into the van. We eventually got home at 1.00am and were completely shattered again after yet another successful evening with myself and the R.J.Rhythm Entertainments crew.

I personally would like to wish all the students every success in what they decide to do for the future and would also like the thank the college and staff for making me so welcome and giving me the chance to work with these students.
