The Lostwithiel Hotel and Golf Club Wedding Reception 25/09/2010

Well I have to say that this has to be one of the best Wedding Receptions of the year. The venue was at The Lostwithiel Hotel and Golf Club and was booked as a Disco only event for the evening. We don't do a lot at this venue at the moment but we are now in the Club brochure so hopefully the bookings will be coming in for next year. This is the second time this year for R.J.Rhythm to have worked this venue and last time was the same as this one for a great party atmosphere with a complete party crowd, hence I don't know why but this venue for us seems to attract all the party people.

Myself and Rob set up this show in the morning as the wedding party wanted everything ready during the day as it was a late wedding. We set off from my office at about 11.00am and as this venue is only down the road from us we got there in about 15 minuets. I knew from last time we were there the sort of show what was needed and where we were going to set up so we got straight onto it and as Rob carried all the equipment in for me I began to set up. It took us about 45 minutes to set the show up for this event and it looked great I must say. Well after a sound check and positioning of the lighting system we left the venue ready to start for 8.00pm on the evening.

We got back to the venue at about 7.45pm and the staff from the hotel were just putting the finishing touches to the room to make ready for our evening reception. From 8.00pm we played background music whilst the guest were returning for the evening then 8.30 came and we called the Bride and Groom onto the dance floor for the first dance and afterwards we played another slow song and called others up to join in dancing along side the newly married couple. After that we went straight into Party mode and all I can say is throughout the whole night we had most people up on the dance floor and they were the perfect party crowd all night long with a terrific atmosphere all of this evening. We finished at Midnight which was quite sad as I think it could have gone on longer and Rob and myself packed away the show and Rob loaded up the van for me once the show had been packed away which was a great help. It took us about an hour to pack away and get loaded up then we made our way back home after and long and successful brilliant evening.

Well tomorrow night we are in St.Ives with a Karaoke Birthday Party and I know this is going to be a good one as we were entertaining other entertainers on this occasion so I can't wait.
