Lerryn Village Hall 40th Birthday Party 22/05/2009

This event was a first for R.J.Rhythm in the Lerryn Village Hall as we have worked in the local pub before but never in the village hall.

We got to Lerryn 6pm and found the Village Hall straight away and was I must admit this Village hall was one of the best we have worked in as it had a refit back in 2000 I think was the year and was laid out like a little community center. As we had a large stage we pulled out all the stops and set up one of our biggest shows..You can see more from this show by looking at our Video Page I had Freddie and Andy ( one of my Plymouth Crew ) with me on this night so it did not take us long to set up and the carry from the van to the stage was very easy because of the layout of the hall.

We started the show off at 8.30 pm as requested The party was quite a large crowd about 80 in all but it took a while for everyone to turn up as the local pub was about 100 yards away and most of the guests obviously started the night off in the pub. It took about an hour and a half to really get going but that did not really matter as we were working this venue till 1am anyway. The evening was a great success and people were coming up all night long with requests and obviously we had them all. They were dancing on and off from 10pm till finish and the guests and ourselves had a great time and we were being complimented on our wide selection of music.

Well 1am came and it was time to finish, we got packed up and ready to go within the hour between the thanks and all the comments then made our way home, we eventually arrived home about 2.30am and was looking forward to our next gig which was the next evening.
