Wedding Reception at The Eagle House Hotel in Launceston 17/07/2010

R.J.Rhythm have worked at this venue before but it was a very long time ago and we were please to visit this venue yet again. The venue was The Eagle House Hotel in Launceston and the function on this evening was for a Wedding Reception and was booked as a Disco only. I was very much looking forward to this event as I like to visit venues that we have worked before and I must honestly say that it must have been at least 7 years ago we first worked at the venue.

With me on this occasion was Rob from my village and my builder John. I had to get John to help me out on this occasion as he was driving the van for me as I was taking my car so I could get straight off to Sutton Coldfield when I had finished work as I am now spending most Sunday's to Tuesday's in Sutton. We all set of from my office at 6.15pm and arrived at the Venue for 7.00pm then John and Rob carried all the equipment in for me and both helped me to set up the show and It took us about an hour to set everything up as we put one of out medium to large shows in for this event, then we tested everything and made sure all was looking good before we made a start.

We started the disco at 8.15pm and started off with playing some background music then we called the Bride and Groom up for their first dances. After the first dances the Hotel decided to open up the buffet for the evening so we carried on playing through the buffet as we had been requested to do. Through out the whole night we had various people dancing and singing from beginning to end which made this night another night to remember for both us and all the guests. We played all types of music from the 1960's right up to the present date as it was mostly a younger crowd we were entertaining on this occasion.

We finished at midnight then Rob and John along with myself packed away the show then Rob and John carried the equipment to the van and helped me to load up. which was a great help. It took us about an hour to pack away and get loaded up then they made their way back home after and long and successful evening whilst I made my way to Sutton Coldfield for a crazy couple of days.
