Lanhydrock Hotel Corporate Christmas Parties 12/12/2009

Well after a very successful Friday night we are back again tonight at The Lanhydrock Hotel and Golf Club. as I said on yesterdays Journal this weekend we are only doing downstairs functions and last night we were playing for various different companies who were having their annual Christmas celebrations, but tonight is one big Christmas Party for all the staff from all the shops of Ann's Cottage Surf and I know from the previous year that this one is going to be one hell of a night.

As I have said before you may notice throughout these December Journals that there are no pictures or videos taken at any of these functions as we respect the privacy of the various companies and people letting their hair down, also it is quite hard to ask every company for permission who may be attending on the evenings. The pictures that will appear on these pages however are pictures of the shows that we have set up for the evenings so you can see for yourselves what sort of show we were using to entertain on the evenings I also will be combining upstairs and downstairs shows on one page per day of booking hence I am going to tell you about both shows on this page if we are working upstairs and downstairs on one night.

The show was already set up from the previous evening which was a good job as my roadie and D. J. Andy was working elsewhere on another gig for himself and was meeting me after my gig to help pack away etc. This evening again like all our party evenings at Lanhydrock started at 9pm till 1am, so I arrived at the venue in plenty of time on this night as Andy was using our van so I got there about about 7.30. Well everything was running on time on this occasion and I started off the show right on time. As I said earlier tonight's function was for Ann's Cottage Surf and we had 150+ people this evening to entertain and I could tell it was going to be a great night as the atmosphere from all the guests was full of excitement and I could tell they were ready to party. The whole evening was yet another great success and everyone had a great night as I had lots of people dancing all night long throughout the whole evening. They were coming up to us with lots of requests for silly party records most of the night so you can imagine what sort of night and crowd we had on this evening.

I finished at 1am and got a great round of applause from the people who managed to stay till the very last record which as I keep saying made me feel great as a D. J. After everyone had left I started to pack down the show whilst I was waiting for Andy to turn up and Andy got back to me about 1.45am. We decided to make good use of time as it was quiet and no one around so we got both my shows together downstairs and sorted out all the leads etc and put them back into boxes and cases where they belonged, then Andy took everything back into the staff room where the equipment was going to be stored for another week until next weekend. We eventually arrived back at our offices at 4.30am after yet another successful evening with R.J.Rhythm Entertainments.
