Wedding Reception At The Lanhydrock Hotel 18/07/2009

well it seems ages since R.J.Rhythm was at The Lanhydrock Hotel and Golf club and I was really looking forward to working back there again. The event was a Wedding reception this time in the function room upstairs. Lanhydrock Hotel now has a licence for people to actually get married at the hotel which I think is a great idea as the grounds and facilities are magnificent.

We set off from our offices around 5pm as the hotel is not far from us. With me on this function was Rob who is a local lad from my village who used to come with me about 12 months ago and it was great to welcome him back as part of the R.J.Rhythm crew. We arrived at The Lanhydrock Hotel about 5.30pm and Rob helped me to unload the van and set up. It took us about an hour to set up as the function room is upstairs and we have to unload the van and put everything in the lift. It was great timing because as we got there the wedding party was just vacating the room from having there meal so we were able to set up straight away.

We got set up and were ready to go by 7pm. The guests came up to us from downstairs along with the Bride and Groom who cut the cake straight away as soon as all the guests had settled down. Right after cutting the cake we done the First Dance and then went straight into the disco. We played for the children untill the buffet then the party really got started after the buffet which is the norm for weddings. We had lots of people dancing and lots of request all night long and we had a brilliant atmosphere all night long. we did not take any photos or video of this event because I forgot to ask permission when the weeding party booked R.J.Rhythm and I feel it is not appropriate to ask on the day as it may put people on the spot.

Well midnight came and it was time to finish, we finished with some slow songs and as people were leaving they were thanking us for a wonderful night. we packed away within the hour and made our way home. We got home about 1.30 am completely shattered after such a brilliant and exciting evening
