Lanhydrock Hotel 50th Birthday Party 09/05/2009

This event was the 2nd event we was about to do for the same family and I personally was looking forward to this evening. As I have said previously in my journals we normally set up in the afternoons at Lanhydrock, But this time we set up about 2 hours before the event as we were needed to stay for background music etc.

We arrived about 5pm to set up for this evening and it took us about an hour and half to set up. Setting up was Freddie and Scott who unloaded and brought the equipment up to me as this function was upstairs. The layout of the room looked spectacular and as the Birthday Boy was a Nottingham Forest Fan and all the decorations were in the teams colors.

The guests started arriving about 7pm, we played background music for about half an hour and then there were speeches and a slide show which showed the Birthday Boy growing up also there was a presentation like This Is Your Life. All the speeches and photos went down really well and everybody had a good laugh.

This put everyone in a great mood for the evening so right after the buffet we started We had a brilliant night on this evening as we played the right sort of music all night long with lots of 70's and 80's. We had various people come up to us requesting certain songs (which we had) and complimenting us on our music selection.

Well midnight came and it was time to finish as people were leaving and we started to pack up a people were still giving compliments and saying thanks for everything we done in the show, more happy people from another great show!
